David L. Siddall, JD, LL.M.
David Siddall is admitted to practice law in Arizona, Iowa and Texas, and has practiced for more than 25 years. As a founding partner of McQueen & Siddall, LLP, David uses his experience and skills to counsel families and business owners on estate planning, business compliance and succession planning, asset protection, probate & trust administration and other end-of-life decisions. He also uses his extensive corporate experience to provide “Outside” General Counsel services for small businesses that need a variety of continuing legal services without the need to hire multiple lawyers.
David grew up in the Midwest and has a strong work ethic. His drive for success started at the young age of 10 when he started a lawn mowing business, followed quickly by adding paper routes and other enterprises (including helping in the family business) which set the stage for completing his undergraduate and law degrees in 5 years (as opposed to the normal 7 or more years)—all the while working multiple part-time jobs to support his family. David’s work ethic, integrity, knowledge, experience and people skills have enabled him to rise quickly in the corporate legal ranks as a trusted legal advisor and counselor.
After spending 25 years as in-house legal counsel for large public companies, David retired from his Fortune 500 legal career to pursue his dream in the legal field of estate planning, Eldercare and Special Needs. He has gained the necessary education and skills by attending the University of Miami School of Law’s prestigious Heckerling Graduate Program in Estate Planning where he earned a Master of Laws in Estate Planning. While at Heckerling Program, David met his future law partner, Bill McQueen, and they decided to form a boutique law partnership focusing on the legacy needs of families, seniors and business owners.
David has had more than 25 years of corporate, governance, compliance and other business-related legal experience. He has served as a legal officer, chief governance officer, chief compliance officer and corporate secretary of two Fortune 500 energy companies. In those capacities, he was responsible for Securities and Exchange Commission, New York Stock Exchange, Sarbanes-Oxley, Dodd-Frank, whistleblower and many other regulatory compliance programs. He also had responsibility for overseeing the legal department, compliance, shareholder relations, human resources, equity administration, governance, antitrust, finance, exploration and production, intellectual property, litigation, regulatory and other matters. Mr. Siddall has advised members of boards of directors and members of the C-suite for over 20 years.
